Hey, Fellow Xsploorers!

What do you do after a long, hard day of xsplooring?  You get a good night’s rest, of course.  But falling to sleep can be tough, that’s why I’ve personally selected some of my favorite stories to read to you.  These stories will help you close your eyes, relax, and drift off to dreamland…

The stories I choose for you aren’t the same ones you’ve heard a thousand times already, they’re actually great stories you’ve most likely never heard before.  I want to ensure you hear something fresh, fun, exciting, and new at bedtime.  After all, discovering exciting, new things is what xsplooring is all about!

Fletcher is a dog that belongs to a little girl named Alexandra. At their home, Alexandra suddenly seems much more interested in a new batch of just-born baby chicks than in Fletcher. Smokey the Bear is one of the most well-known and well-loved characters in U.S. history. His phrase, “Only you can prevent forest fires,” has probably saved thousands of trees over the years. Where did Smokey come from? It turns out, that Smokey was a real-life bear who was orphaned after a forest fire. He was rescued by firefighters, and then sent to a local zoo. But how exactly did Smokey become a spokesperson for the U.S. Forest Service? Well, just watch and learn…

This story contains many funny animal characters. There’s a dove with gloves, a mule in a pool, a spider in cider, a goat in a coat, a pig in a wig, a moose drinking juice, a perky turkey and more. All of these animals are treated with respect by the kids in the book… BUT there’s also a weasel, and that poor weasel is teased mercilessly! Why, oh why, is that weasel teased?
